A very exciting and cutting edge form of Jewish education. This can be utilized in formal classroom settings or in numerous forms of informal education. One of my students took what Matt does and used it to design a really successful project for her class during student teaching. I know that it can work – and work well. The teacher doesn’t have to have any expertise with rapping to make it succeed
-   Dr. Susan Wall, Director, Pardes Educators Alumni Support Project

"I used Purim video with my 8th graders.  They all loved it, went home and rewatched it and for the last two days 53 8th graders have been walking around singing “Haman whats with the attitude.”  It’s amazing."
-       Evan Ravski, Solomon Schechter Teacher, 8th Grade classroom

"In one class I used “Rabbi Akiva and Raquel” as a way to learn stories of the Rabbis we were learning about... They were as focused and as quiet as I had ever seen them… Amidst visible intrigue and fun, I asked the kids why they thought I was playing these raps for them.  They said, "Because we need to make Judaism ours."
-       Scott Kaplan, 7th Grade classroom, Houston

"I played the song "Cain & Abel" for them, and it became an incredible locus of debate. The music spoke to them in a way I never could. They left class fired up and excited... It helps students see the Tanach from where they are, and to realize that its message is current."
-        Samara Schwarz, Pardes educator, 8th grade classroom

"…All of my students are singing the Haman song. How random! They love it. The school uses it as a kind of fun treat in class. How fun!!!!....I think that you are going to make it big in this education world.
